Veteran actress and former MLA Jayasudha has been appointed as the Chairperson of the Jury Committee for the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards. A 15-member jury committee has been constituted to oversee the selection process.
Jayasudha, along with Telangana State Film Development Corporation (FDC) Managing Director Harish, held a meeting with FDC Chairman and noted producer Dil Raju. During the meeting, Dil Raju emphasized the importance of a fair and unbiased review of the nominations. He also noted that such an overwhelming response was not witnessed for film awards even during the undivided Andhra Pradesh.
The jury is scheduled to begin evaluating the nominations from April 21. According to officials, a total of 1,248 nominations have been received across all categories. Of these, 1,172 are in individual categories, while 76 entries were submitted under feature films, children’s films, documentaries, film criticism, and books.
