Tamil actor Jayam Ravi, a familiar name among Telugu audiences through his dubbed films, has officially announced a change in his screen name. Known for his breakout hit film Jayam, the actor, who is the son of renowned editor Mohan, has decided to drop the name “Jayam” and be addressed as “Ravi Mohan” or simply “Ravi.”
In a special announcement for Pongal (Sankranti), Jayam Ravi shared that he is embarking on a new phase in his career. He has founded a production company, “Ravi Mohan Studios,” and plans to focus on producing meaningful films. The actor emphasized that he no longer wishes to be called “Jayam Ravi” and urged everyone to respect his request.
Ravi also revealed plans to unite his fan clubs under a foundation, acknowledging that his fans have always been his source of strength. He further stated that through his new production company, he will support aspiring talent and bring forth impactful narratives.
The actor has already updated his social media profiles to reflect his new name.
