Actor Jayam Ravi has issued a detailed statement addressing ongoing rumors about his relationship with singer Kenisha, amidst his ongoing divorce proceedings with wife Arthi. Jayam Ravi described Kenisha as a “wonderful person” deserving respect and dignity, while expressing disappointment over false reports and public scrutiny of his personal life during a sensitive time for the nation.
Jayam Ravi emphasized that his silence should not be misconstrued as weakness and warned that he would respond if unfounded speculation continues. He clarified that his career was built on hard work and that he would never exploit his past marriage for personal gain or sympathy.
He said, “This is not a game but my life. I remain committed to the legal process and will continue with dignity. Despite enduring mental, emotional, and financial hardships, and being unable to see my parents for years, I tried to preserve my marriage. After much reflection, I decided to separate and have communicated this with family and fans. False rumors following a recent event are entirely baseless, and I reject them completely. It pains me to see my children being used as tools for financial or emotional gain. My children’s well-being is my utmost priority.”
Regarding Kenisha, Jayam Ravi stated that their relationship began as a friendship and that she stood by him during difficult times. “She is a wonderful partner, and I will not tolerate any disrespectful rumors about her or her profession,” he added.
The actor’s divorce from Arthi was publicly announced last year, a move Arthi claimed was made without her prior knowledge. The couple has since approached the courts, with the divorce case currently under trial. Speculation has linked Kenisha as a reason for the separation. Recently, Jayam Ravi and Kenisha were seen together at a wedding, prompting Arthi to respond: “Being a father is not just a title but a responsibility.
