Tamil star Thalapathy Vijay’s 69th film will be his swansong to acting career as he will transition into a full-time politician and contest in next Tamilnadu elections. It is a known fact that he took plunge into politics last year and floated TVK party amid massive crowds in the first ever public meeting in Villupuram district.
On the eve of Republic Day, the makers of this much anticipated film unveiled the first look poster with the title. Thalapathy69 is officially titled Jana Nayagan and the poster features Vijay as a people’s leader. Vijay is seen taking a selfie with the sea of supporters chanting slogans in the backdrop. Sporting black shades and stylish denim outfit, Vijay exudes charm and grace in this look.
Contrary to rumours that Thalapathy69 is going to be a remake, the first look poster and the catchy title hint that this will be a political thriller which projects Vijay as a saviour of the society as a torchbearer of democracy. It seems like the film is an attempt to give political mileage to Vijay ahead of his grand entry into Tamil politics.
Directed by H. Vinoth, Jana Nayagan stars Pooja Hegde, Mamitha Baiju, Bobby Deol and others in pivotal roles. Music composer Anirudh Ravichander is giving the tunes for this film. It will target Republic Day 2026 release.
