Veteran actor Jagapathi Babu, once a celebrated leading man in Telugu cinema, has carved a niche for himself in recent years with powerful antagonist roles. He is currently seen in the much-awaited film Mirai, starring Teja Sajja, which hit theatres today. As part of the promotional campaign, the film’s team made a special appearance on The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show, where Jagapathi Babu entertained audiences with his trademark charm.
During the episode, a group of performers staged a spoof of Pushpa 2, in which Jagapathi Babu portrays the role of Union Minister Kogantam Veera Pratap Reddy. Drawing from his villainous on-screen persona, the actor made a playful comment that quickly became the highlight of the show.
“I have been acting as a villain all this while. But if I enter politics, I will become a hero — because that field already has plenty of villains (opponents). Then I will be the hero,” he quipped, leaving the audience and fellow cast members in splits.
