During a meeting with YSR Congress Party leaders from Repalle, party chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy emphasized that difficulties are not everlasting and that light will always emerge after darkness, reflecting a fundamental truth of creation. He acknowledged the unforeseen challenges facing the Repalle constituency, highlighting that their true strength lies in their values and trustworthiness. Jagan reminded attendees that personal character is what propels them forward. His comments came in response to the recent shift of party leader Mopidevi to the Telugu Desam Party.
Jagan expressed his regret regarding Mopidevi Venkata Ramana’s departure from the party, asserting that he had always treated him with integrity and respect. He noted that they had consistently shown goodwill toward Mopidevi, even appointing him as a minister after Jagan himself was defeated in the elections. Jagan recalled that when discussions arose about dissolving the mandal, they quickly arranged for Mopidevi’s nomination to the Rajya Sabha at his request. He emphasized that their party takes pride in being the first to elect a fisherman to the Rajya Sabha.
He communicated to the Repalle leaders that experiencing challenges is not unfamiliar to them and stressed that political hardships are not everlasting. He reflected on his emotional journey, recalling how, even during his father’s time as Chief Minister, they faced significant hurdles. He noted how powerful individuals united against them, made false allegations, and imprisoned him for 16 months, which he considered a form of harassment. Despite this, he questioned whether the people had not provided their support during his tenure as Chief Minister. He affirmed that God always stands with the righteous.
