Is SIT Getting Ready To Arrest YS Jagan In Liquor Scam Before June 10?

The coalition government that is moving tough in AP liquor scam, claiming to be the biggest ever liquor scam in the country, is tightening grip over key associates of former Chief Minister and YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy.

Already, his close associates Lok Sabha leader  Mithun Reddy, Raj Kasieddy, Sajjala Sridhar Reddy, retired IAS Dhanunjay Reddy, Jagan’s former OST Krishna Mohan Reddy, and Bharathi Cements Director Balaji Govindappa have been named as accused.

While among them Mithun Reddy succeeded in getting anticipatory bail, the remaining were arrested and also the SIT obtained them for two days custody. Now as the focus of investigation moving towards `ultimate beneficiary of this entire scam, raising speculations on the possible arrest of Jaganmohan Reddy.

Jaganmohan Reddy responded to such speculations stating that he is ready for arrest. “I am here in Vijayawada only, if they want they can arrest me”, he said. He asserted that he is not afraid of arrest.

In this regard, former party MP Vijayasai Reddy has reportedly revealed to his close associates, during his recent visit to Tirupati that stage is set ready for the arrest of the former Chief Minister. According to him, he is likely to be arrested before June 10.

The TDP sources are also indicating that the CID officials have been formulating a concrete plan of action for his arrest. However, some TDP sources are suspecting that whether Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu will allow CID to arrest him at this stage?

As elections are four years away and Jagan is likely to come out on bail soon, they fear that it may enable the YSRCP chief to play the ‘victim card’ to go to the people, challenging the government’s failure in fulfilling its electoral promises.

On the other hand, Vijayasai Reddy, who has already appeared as a witness in the liquor scam once and revealed many details to the CID SIT, has recently cautioned YSRCP leaders that if they continue to provoke him he would be forced to open up against them. He recalled that so far he had named only about A1 in the liquor scam and remained silent on the role of others.
