In a dramatic turn, Congress leader Bonthu Rammohan name surfaces in BJP for Jubilee Hills by-poll seat

The Jubilee Hills by-election is now becoming more prestigious to all parties. With the High Court staying the BC reservation issue, the political equation is taking the victory in this by-election seriously. The names of Maganti Sunitha from BRS and Naveen Yadav from Congress have already been officially announced.

Meanwhile, while the BJP is working on the selection of a candidate, the name of a Congress leader unexpectedly came to the fore. Party MP D. Aravind himself has proposed to induct former mayor and Congress state vice-president Bonthu Ramamohan into the party and give him a party seat. This is causing a stir in BJP circles.

The three-member committee appointed by the BJP for the selection of candidates has already submitted a report to the party with three names. From the beginning, the names of Lankala Deepak Reddy, Veerapaneni Padma and Keerthi Reddy were in the race for the BJP seat. Meanwhile, recently, film actress Madhavi Latha has asked to be given a chance to contest.

Party leaders say that their party candidate will be finalized based on local and social equations. At the same time, an unexpected new name has come to the fore. Arvind Bonthu Rammohan, who met party state president N. Ramchandra Rao, said that he has an ABVP background. He expressed the opinion that since he has control over the entire Greater Hyderabad as mayor, he will help BJP win the upcoming GHMC elections.

Bonthu Rammohan from Congress tried for the Jubilee Hills seat until a few days ago. However, before the announcement of Naveen Yadav’s name, he revealed that he was not in the race. Now his name has come to the fore in BJP. Meanwhile, Bonthu Rammohan says that he has not met any of the BJP leaders for the seat. On the other hand, he clarified that he has nothing to do with the internal discussions in BJP.

He said that it is not true that he will contest from BJP. He said that he is satisfied with Congress. TDP and AIMIM have announced that they will stay away from the contest in Jubilee Hills. TDP leaders say that they will cooperate if BJP asks. It seems that AIMIM’s decision is likely to be good for Congress. At this time, it is becoming exciting to see who BJP will finalize as its candidate.
