In A Big jolt To Chandrababu Naidu, GV Reddy Resigned As AP Fibernet Chairman, Also TDP Membership

In a big jolt to the coalition government, especially Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, GV Reddy has resigned as Chairman of AP Fibernet. He also resigned as TDP National Spokesperson and also to the primary membership of the party.

Days after retired IPS officer AB Venkateswara Rao expressed his hesitation to join office, even after he was nominated as Chairman of AP Police Housing Corporation, he reflected growing discontent among strong supporters of TDP against the functioning of the government.

Hours after his resignation, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu’s office said it was accepted. Also Fibernet MD Dinesh Kumar, who was at the center of this controversy was also transferred from there and he was asked to report at GAD.

It is known that the AP Fibernet affair has been creating a stir in Andhra Pradesh politics for the past few days. GV Reddy expressed his anger openly that MD Dinesh Kumar refused to implement his orders to remove employees who were illegally appointed during the previous regime.

Moreover, he alleged that Dinesh Kumar is not cooperating at all for the development of the Fibernet and not doing any work after his posting in last August. He further accused that efforts are still going on to protect the interests of the previous YCP regime in the government and submitted detailed reports to the Chief Secretary and also concerned minister Janardhan Reddy.

These created a big uproar. As the IAS officers expressed their anger over these,.Chandrababu along with Minister BC Janardhan Reddy demanded an explanation from the chairman. He personally met the Chief Minister and explained the factual position. Instead of promising him to conduct an impartial probe, he was reportedly after Chandrababu advised him to work smoothly with Dinesh Kumar.

He said to be felt it will be impossible for him to work with an officer against whom he himself leveled severe accusations of `treason’ and decided to quit the office and also resign from the party in  a respectful way. It can be said that his resignation from his post along with the TDP just a few months after assuming the post is a political shock for the TDP.

TDP leaders also seem to be shocked with this development knowing well that Chandrababu is always on the side of the officials, but not come to the rescue of hard-working party cadre. Already, there are allegations of several officers known for their proximity with former chief minister Jaganmohan Reddy and also facing severe corruption charges occupying key positions in this government as well.

By resigning from the post of a key chairman in such a short period of time is a key development GV Reddy said to be to enhance his image among TDP cadre radically.
