HYDRAA Demolishes Illegal Structure Linked to TDP MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad

In a major breakthrough, HYDRAA authorities have acted promptly against a claimed illegal construction attributed to TDP MLA and businessman Vasantha Krishna Prasad. The incident occurred in the high-end Kondapur locality of Hyderabad, where a building called “Vasantha House” was said to be constructed on contentious land opposite the RTA office.

According to official sources, multiple complaints were filed by local residents claiming that the construction was taking place on government land falling under Survey No. 79 — a 39-acre property currently mired in a legal dispute. Following a detailed investigation and verification of the complaints, HYDRAA officials found sufficient evidence of encroachment and launched a demolition drive.

The demolition was carried out on Saturday with heavy police deployment to maintain law and order. The team dismantled temporary structures and removed fencing using JCB machines. MLA Vasantha Krishna Prasad was said to be away in Mylavaram at the time of the demolition, attending party-related meetings. Some of his family members who were on the spot tried to resist the operation but failed to halt the proceedings.

Officials stated that the action was taken strictly in accordance with legal protocols, backed by evidence of encroachment. The land has now been officially reclaimed by the government.
