Hyderabad: HYDRA has resumed demolitions of illegal constructions near Bhageerathamma Lake. On Tuesday, officials from the Sherilingampally revenue department and the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) conducted a joint operation to remove unauthorized structures in the lake’s buffer zone.
The demolished structures, including makeshift huts, were built by encroachers on a two-acre plot. The HYDRA took action following complaints regarding the illegal constructions. Using JCB machines, the authorities cleared the area to restore the lake’s buffer zone.
