Hyderabad: Hydra Commissioner Ranganath has once again made significant remarks regarding the ongoing demolition activities in the city. Responding to reports that Hydra had softened its stance on demolitions due to public backlash, he clarified in a media interaction that no such retreat has occurred.
He stated unequivocally that Hydra has not taken any U-turn on demolishing illegal constructions and reiterated that the organization strictly adheres to government policies. He assured that properties with permits obtained before July 2024 would not be demolished.
Ranganath highlighted that if the government decided to target all constructions, millions of homes would need to be brought down. He emphasized the importance of learning from experiences, pointing out that Hydra has revised certain approaches based on insights gained since its inception.
