Both Home Minister K Anitha and TTD Chairman BV Naidu said that criminal action will be taken against former TTD Chairman and YSRCP leader Bhumana Karunakar Reddy for his comments alleging death of cows at SV Goshala. Anitha accused Karunakar Reddy of spreading false propaganda. She alleged that he was conspiring to tarnish the reputation of TTD.
She asserted that 260 staff members are protecting cows in TTD cowsheds and 2,668 cows are being monitored by geo-tagging. Minister Anitha criticized Karunakar Reddy for diverting TTD funds and collecting commissions during his term. She said that it was Bhumana who encouraged the propagation of paganism on Tirumala hill and conspired to convert the seven hills into five hills.
Meanwhile, TD Chairman BR Naidu advised that the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam should not be dragged into politics. In the wake of the YSRCP campaigning that cows died in the cowshed, he inspected the cowshed along with Chandragiri MLA Nani and met with the in-charge director Srinivas and inquired about the conditions of the cowshed.
In this regard, the leaders and activists of the alliance met BR Naidu and handed over a petition to him demanding that a case be registered against Bhumana, who is spreading misinformation about TTD, and a full investigation be conducted into this. Later, BR Naidu spoke to the media and alleged that Bhumana was involved in many scams during his time as the TTD chairman.
He said that huge irregularities had taken place in the engineering department and explained that the cows died due to illness and old age, but there was no negligence on the part of the TTD staff. He alleged that all the photos Bhumana released were morphed photos. He made it clear that there was no question of letting Bhumana Karunakar Reddy go free and a criminal case will be registered against him.
TDP Polit Bureau member Nakka Anand Babu was furious that Bhumana Karunakar Reddy was talking out of his mind and expressed his anger that Bhumana and the party leaders were spreading lies about the TTD cowshed after losing power. He said that no Hindu is in a position to believe the poisonous propaganda that the YSRCP is repeatedly spreading about the sanctity of Tirumala.
