Home Minister Anitha slams During Jagn’s Regime police was Under Guise of Sajjala

Home Minister Anita Vangalapudi lamented that the police department was not in the hands of the Chief Minister and the Home Minister under the previous government, but was monitored under the guise of Sajjala Ramakrishna Reddy. But, she said that the present government has given the police freedom to work within the law.

Inaugurating the new building of Satyanarayanapuram Police Station in Vijayawada, along with DGP Harish Kumar Guptha, she expressed her deep anger that the YSRCP leaders are spreading lies shamelessly. She said that the number of crimes in Andhra Pradesh has decreased after the coalition government came to power.

She deplored the attitude of framing caste and religion equations of  those who committed the crime. Responding to the row over police open treatment of rowdy sheeters in Tenli, Anitha asked whether those who attack the police have a political color? She made it clear that maintenance of law and order is their top priority.

She was angry that in the previous Jagan government, Dr. Sudhakar was beaten and his wings were broken when he asked for a mask. She asserted that there were no illegal arrests or house arrests in the coalition government and they were not hiding behind curtains. She said that they are moving with the people and among the people.

Home Minister Anitha recalled that in the past, when CM Chandrababu had gone to Amaravati, those who would throw stones were supported in the name of ‘freedom of expression’. She also reminded that Jagan supporting the attack on TDP office said his workers get BP.

She emphasized that Satyanarayanapuram Police Station has a record as a model police station and she felt like she had come to a corporate office here. She said that it was built on a 320-yard plot with a cost of Rs. 2 crore and this is the first police station in AP to have a gym. She revealed that it was built to be comfortable for women and children.

Anitha explained that they have focused on the movements of rowdy sheeters and have set up their face recognition. She said that criminals are being arrested with technology under the leadership of CP Rajasekhar Babu. She made it clear that no matter what crime is committed, the police are immediately arresting the accused today.

The Home Minister announced that one lakh cameras are being installed across AP. She said that the transportation of ganja has reduced to a great extent in AP recently. She said that the police are participating in the International Yoga Day on June 21st. She said that 5000 policemen in each district will participate in Yoga Andhra.
