AP Home Minister Vangalapudi Anita strongly criticized former Chief Minister and YSRCP chief YS Jagan. She remarked that while the YSRCP’s “psycho batch” spreads falsehoods to intimidate the public, Jagan’s contradictory statements add to the irony. She asserted that the current government is working to rectify the irregularities that occurred under YSRCP rule.
Speaking as the chief guest at the passing out parade of DSPs at the Anantapur Police Training Center, Anita alleged that ₹12 crore was spent solely on Jagan’s personal security during the YSRCP regime. She claimed that the police system was undermined during YSRCP’s five-year governance, attributing the present state of affairs in the state to what she termed the “misrule” of YSRCP. Emphasizing a strict approach to law and order, she pledged to strengthen the police system.
Minister Anita reaffirmed the government’s commitment to the welfare of the police, mentioning steps toward improving their essential infrastructure. She noted her responsibility to prepare the police force to maintain public peace and security. She further condemned the YSRCP’s “psycho batch” for needlessly inciting fear among the public, despite no incidents actually occurring.
