High Court Quashed FIR Against Harish Rao In phone Tapping case

TRS senior leader and former minister T. Harish Rao got a big relief in the High Court. The Telangana high court quashed the FIR registered by the Panjagutta police in the phone tapping case against him. It is known that Harish Rao had filed a petition in the High Court seeking quashing of the phone tapping case registered by the Panjagutta police based on the complaint of a real estate businessman Chakradhar Goud.

The arguments on this were completed on the 27th of the last month. The bench recently issued a verdict dismissing the petition. Senior advocate Dama Seshadri Naidu and advocate R Chandrasekhar Reddy, while presenting their arguments on behalf of the petitioner, accused that the government seems to have taken legal counsel on behalf of Chakradhar Goud.

They said that the investigating officer of the case had repeatedly arrested and intimidated the accused, and that they were trying to coerce them into giving statements in a manner that they wanted and were conspiring to implicate Harish Rao in this case. They bring to the notice of the High Court that a total of 11 cases, including sexual assault, were pending against Chakradhar Goud.

They said that it was up to the courts to decide whether the cases were registered wrongly or not, but surprisingly the government itself was saying that they were false cases. They deplored that the prosecution was making two types of arguments.

They said that Chakradhar Goud had stated that he had no money in his election affidavits, but later distributed the funds in the name of a trust. They sought an order to investigate this matter with the Income Tax Department. They alleged that the government was trying to take political revenge.

Meanwhile, Chakradhar Goud’s lawyer said that the court had dismissed several cases registered against him in the past and there were stay orders in some cases. Justice Laxman announced that the verdict was being postponed after the arguments of both sides were completed. He also revealed that the petition filed by the second accused in the same case, retired police officer Radhakishan Rao, will be heard on Friday.
