The Tirumala Sri Venkateswara Temple, a prominent spiritual site, is situated in a designated no-fly zone, where flying aircraft or helicopters over the hills is strictly prohibited as per Agama Shastra guidelines. Despite these restrictions, there have been frequent violations, with airplanes and helicopters flying over the temple, causing frustration among devotees.
On Monday, a helicopter was spotted circling the Tirumala Hills, triggering widespread concern. Devotees expressed anger over the incident, prompting Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) officials to launch an investigation into the helicopter’s origin and destination.
In response, TTD has lodged a formal complaint with aviation authorities regarding the breach of the no-fly regulations over Tirumala. Further action is expected following the inquiry.
