Former BRS minister and Siddipet MLA Harish Rao alleged that the Revanth Reddy government gave a bribe of Rs 170 crore to a broker who had previously given a loan on HCU lands. He spoke to the media at Telangana Bhavan after giving a complaint to the Central Environment Advisory Committee on Kancha Gachibowli lands at Taj Krishna Hotel.
On November 22, 2024, he said that the Congress government took a loan of Rs 10,000 crore by mortgaging HCU land. What is even more evil is that the person who acted as a broker to give this loan was paid a broker fee of Rs 169.83 crore, or approximately Rs 170 crore.
“I am not saying anything out of the blue. This is the written answer from the government to the question I raised in the Assembly”, Harish Rao said. Stating that now they are trying to sell that land and get another Rs. 40,000 crores, he accused that the state government is violating the rules and regulations.
He deplored that even after the Supreme Court ordered not to take any action or work, they put up boards saying that it belongs to TGIIC. He alleged that this is a violation of the orders of the Supreme Court. Harish Rao said that CM Revanth Reddy is losing fear of the Supreme Court.
He recalled that Revanth Reddy had complained in the Green Tribunal alleging that 10 to 20 trees were being cut after the BRS government took a decision to construct a new Secretariat. Moreover, he said that a case was also filed in the High Court and the Supreme Court.
What are you doing today, Revanth Reddy?, he asked and demanded that strict action should be taken against the CM, CS and police officers who are cutting down lakhs of trees in hundreds of acres. He deplored that the students of the Central University were put in jail for questioning, and they have been in jail for ten days.
Harish Rao made it clear that Revanth Reddy, who is the Home Minister, is responsible for this. “Why should the Deputy Chief Minister say to release students? If the students do the work that the government should do, will they be arrested and put in jail? The government is violating all laws. We have reported all these matters to the committee”, said Harish Rao.
