Harish Rao Condemns Arrest of Kaushik Reddy, Criticizes Revanth Reddy Government

BRS senior leader and Huzurabad MLA Harish Rao has strongly condemned the arrest of Padi Kaushik Reddy, accusing the Revanth Reddy-led government of unlawful detention. In a social media post, Harish Rao questioned the reasons behind the arrest and called it an unjust action.

“Why is an MLA being targeted for questioning a defector? Telangana was peaceful under KCR’s leadership for ten years, but in just 13 months under Congress rule, the state has become a hub for vindictive politics,” Harish Rao stated.

He further criticized the trend of filing baseless cases against elected representatives, as well as the routine attacks on opposition party offices. “This is becoming a regular pattern, and it’s shameful,” he added.

Harish Rao also alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy had failed to deliver on his six promises and was now focusing on suppressing the opposition. “Questioning leads to cases, challenging leads to attacks, and asking leads to arrests. Is this what ‘Indiramma Rajyam’ stands for?” he asked.

Accusing the current government of undermining democracy, Harish Rao remarked, “The claim of restoring democracy is a facade. They are actually killing it and bringing back an emergency-like regime.”

He concluded by asserting that the BRS would continue to fight for the people and demanded the immediate release of Kaushik Reddy, who he claimed was arrested illegally.
