Former Finance Minister T. Harish Rao called on the youth and youth organizations in the state to avoid new year parties on December 31 night and adopt student hostels with that money. He said that serving children is like serving God and service to humanity is the best service.
Harish Rao participated in the distribution of sweaters and blankets to the students of Urban Residential Bridge School in Nasarapura center of Siddipet district. He said that the students are facing difficulties due to lack of hot water in the hostel during winter and the government not providing blankets.
He said that the mess bills have been pending for the last 4 months. He mentioned that CM Revanth Reddy had given a green channel in the assembly and told the assembly that not a single rupee bill was pending in the state. He questioned whether this was a green challenge?
He asked what happened to the CM’s statement that salaries may increase but mess bills will not stop. He criticized that the Chief Minister’s words are crossing the forts but his actions are not. Harish Rao challenged Revanth Reddy to be a Chief Minister of words but not of deeds.
He accused that Revanth Reddy has lost control over the administration and the words spoken in the assembly are not being implemented. He was angry that the government is not implementing the six guarantees. He asked where the Mahalakshmi and Tulam gold went?
Harish Rao demanded that the state government immediately release mess charges everywhere. He wondered why the Chief Minister is not conducting all the departments? He said that the mess charges increased to Rs. 1300 have not been implemented yet. He demanded that Rs. 1,300 be given for classes 1 to 7 and Rs. 1,500 for class 8.
He said that cosmetic charges are still being given only Rs. 100. He wants them to be increased to Rs. 150. Harish Rao suggested that the government should be more responsible for the students in residential schools who are away from their parents.
