Renowned Tollywood filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who gained national acclaim with blockbuster films Arjun Reddy and Animal, recently received a surprise gift from actor Ram Charan and his wife Upasana Konidela. The gesture, shared by the director on social media, has since gone viral.
The star couple sent Vanga a jar of homemade mango pickle prepared by their culinary brand ‘Athamas Kitchen’, along with a handwritten note. Delighted by the unexpected gift, Vanga took to Instagram to share a photo of the jar, captioning it, “This surprise is amazing and it’s going to taste amazing too.” He also expressed gratitude to Ram Charan and Upasana for the thoughtful gesture. The post has garnered widespread attention, with netizens responding enthusiastically.
Meanwhile, Vanga is currently working on his next pan-India project Spirit, starring Prabhas in the lead role. The film marks the first time Prabhas will portray a police officer on screen. Reports earlier suggested that Deepika Padukone was initially approached to play the female lead. However, due to creative differences, she was later replaced. In a subtle reference on social media, Vanga hinted at dissatisfaction over alleged leaks related to the project, reportedly originating from Deepika’s PR team.
Spirit is being positioned as a high-budget action drama and is expected to commence full-scale production soon.
