AP Government Chief Whip GV Anjaneyulu lamented that the former chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy is not coming to the Assembly because he is not interested in solving public problems. He said that it is shameful that he even did not come to the orientation organized to create awareness on the rules and discipline of the Legislative Assembly.
He accused that Jagan has never worked for the people and questioned how he can take public money as salaries without coming to the Assembly. He made it clear that Jagan cannot sit in his palace and ask questions without coming to the Assembly.
Anjaneyulu advised Jagan to realize that the people gave him even 11 seats only to make noise in the Assembly. He said that since the people did not give him opposition status, he has to play that role himself. He said that if questions are asked while sitting in the Tadepalli Palace, the government needs to answer them.
GV Anjaneyulu asserted that they will be accountable to the people from the assembly platform. He said that if Jagan comes to the assembly and asks them anything, the government is ready to discuss any issue. He said that it is a proof of Jagan’s arrogance that he will ask questions sitting in the palace, insulting the dignity of the sacred legislative assembly.
A meeting of the whips was held under the chairmanship of TDLP Chief Whip GV Anjaneyulu. The strategy to be followed in the assembly meeting was discussed. He explained the responsibilities to ensure full attendance of the MLAs as they are presenting a full annual budget for the first time.
They discussed the CM’s orders that each whip should take responsibility for the attendance of the MLAs of the two parliamentary constituencies under their jurisdiction. They talked about which MLA should discuss which issue in the assembly, division of subjects, etc. The meeting also discussed the awareness programs for MLAs to be organized on the 22nd and 23rd of this month.
