Former YSRCP MP Nandigam Suresh  Arrest In Attack on TDP Activist case

Controversial YSRCP leader and former Bapatla MP Nandigam Suresh has not been getting along since the YSRCP lost power in the state. During the YSRCP regime he was involved in several controversies, including his own party activist.

Though he was elected from Bapatla Lok Sabha, he mostly concentrated on his native assembly segment Tadikonda, creating a headache for local YSRCP MLA Sri Devi, who was forced to quit the party and join TDP just before elections.

Nandigam Suresh, who is already an accused in several cases and was in jail, is now relaxing a bit after getting bail. At such a time, the police, who had once again registered another case against him, also arrested him on Sunday. He was arrested by the Thullur police on Sunday in the case of an attack on a person named Isukupally Raju, TDP activist.

Upon receiving information about Nandigam Suresh’s arrest, his wife reached the Thullur police station and staged a protest. She alleged that her husband was arrested unjustly. She demanded that her husband be released from jail immediately. However, a woman named Lakshmi filed a complaint at the Thullur police station alleging that former MP Nandigam Suresh attacked her husband Raju.

On Saturday, an attack took place between the two groups within the limits of the Thullur police station. A person named Raju was injured in the attack. He was rushed to AIIMS in Mangalagiri for treatment on Saturday night. On Saturday night, a car rammed into Uddandarayunipalem at high speed.

Raju reprimanded the driver for speeding. After some time, Suresh’s followers came there and attacked him and forcibly took him to Suresh’s house. In that order, Suresh, his brother Prabhudasu and others attacked Raju once again. Raju’s family members admitted him to AIIMS in Mangalagiri.

Later, Raju’s wife Lakshmi approached the Thullur police. With this, the police registered a case against Nandigam Suresh and started an investigation. As part of that, the police launched a search operation for Suresh’s brother and relatives.
