Former YCP Minister Vidala Rajini’s follower Srikanth Reddy arrested amid high drama

The police are cracking down on those who post inappropriate comments and posts on social media. The arrest of former YSRCP minister Vidadala Rajini’s main follower and party social media activist Srikanth Reddy (35) from Chilakaluripet, Palnadu has created a political uproar. A high drama took place while he was being detained, who is an accused in several cases.

Rajini had gone to Jangalapalle village in Nadendla mandal of Palnadu district in a car to visit the families of two families. The police received information that Srikanth Reddy was in that car. Immediately, Chilakaluripet Rural CI B Subbanayudu along with police personnel surrounded Rajini’s car in Jangalapalli.

When the CI was about to open the car doors to arrest Srikanth Reddy, who was hiding inside, Rajini became angry, shouted loudly, “What is this, CI?”  Rajini got into a long argument with the police. The police warned that if she obstructed his duties, cases would be filed. While Rajini was shouting and obstructing him, the police forcibly opened the car doors and detained Srikanth Reddy.

It is reported that he was detained in connection with a cheating case in which he collected Rs. 24 lakhs from a person named M. Ratna Reddy of Chilakaluripet on the pretext of awarding a contract for supplying chicken eggs to Anganwadi centers in the combined Guntur district during the YSRCP government.

Meanwhile, YSRCP leaders are criticizing the police for their inappropriate behavior with former minister Rajini. When the police tried to take away Srikanth, who was in her car, a heated argument broke out between the police and Rajini, who was separated. When she tried to prevent the arrest, the CI there told her to step aside and not only spoke inappropriately towards her.

It was alleged that she was pushed aside.  In addition, a video of a police officer warning her that a case will be filed against her is going viral. It may be recalled that the coalition government is not ignoring its own activists in the matter of inappropriate comments on social media. It is not only saying in words but also showing it in actions that whoever slips his tongue is at fault.

A few days ago, TDP activist Chebrolu Kiran, who had made obscene comments against former CM Jaganmohan Reddy’s wife YS Bharathi, was arrested by the Mangalagiri rural police. He was detained at Ibrahimpatnam in Vijayawada based on the location of a cell tower. As soon as the incident came to light, the TDP high command condemned his comments and suspended him from the party.
