YSRCP leaders have been complaining that they are being targeted after the alliance came to power in AP. Fearing arrest, some of them are also going into hiding after cases were filed against them.
The out-spoken YCP leader and former minister Perni Nani, who was known from his hard hitting critical statements against TDP and Jana Sena leaders, is now reportedly avoiding police arrest after his family was named in the PDS rice scam. The Police also issued lookout notices against him, his wife and also son.
They have been making hectic efforts to obtain anticipatory bail from the AP High Court. In this regard, he alleged that Minister Kollu Ravindra is trying to get his wife Jayasudha arrested in this case. Moreover, he also alleged that Kollu Ravindra met Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu several times seeking the arrest of his wife.
However, he claimed that it was due to strong opposition from Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu his wife was not arrested so far. The Chief Minister has bluntly refused Kollu Ravindra’s requests and angrily asked what is needed to arrest a house-wife? Moreover, Perni Nani claimed that Chandrababu Naidu advised Kollu Ravindra if he was particular to let him get arrested of Perni Nani and his son, but not women members of their family.
Perni Nani appreciated that even though he had a political feud with Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister behaved with dignity and calmly in this matter.
In this context, former YSRCP minister Perni Nani asserted that his family was not at fault in the ration rice scam technically. However, he said that they have taken moral responsibility after the Civil Supply officials revealed the disappearance of ration rice hidden in their godown and extended cooperation to the investigation.
Taking moral responsibility, he recalled that his wife had written a letter to the authorities and paid the value of the disappeared bags on the advice of the officials only.
Perni Nani alleged that when they went to the High Court for anticipatory bail, various conspiracies were hatched. He also blamed TDP social media for spreading speculations that he and his family members are absconding. He deplored that they
