Former MLC PVN Madhav Is New AP BJP chief

Former MLC Pokala Vamsi Nagendra Madhav (PVN Madhav) ,has been confirmed as the new president of the Bharatiya Janata Party Andhra Pradesh. The high command seems to be thinking that by selecting Madhav, who has been in the BJP for a long time, the party workers will be given priority. 

He has served as a member of the Legislative Council (MLC) from the graduate constituency of Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts.

He is son of veteran BJP leader and former MLC PV Chalapathi Rao. He completed his post-graduate in MBA from Andhra University. At the same time, he completed PGDCS and PGDAS. He joined the RSS at a young age. He served as the state joint secretary of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad. Participated in various social and political activities.

Joined Swadeshi Desi Jagran Manch as a full-time activist and travelled across the country. Worked at Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini (RMP) in Mumbai to analyze “Role and Impact of Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) in Indian Stock Market” and published his research as a book.

He conducted a survey on “Branding and Marketing of Village Industry Products” for the “Khadi and Village Industries Commission” (KVIC), Mumbai and worked to promote village industry products as brands in the retail markets. He has worked for the Centre for Bharatiya Marketing Development (CBMD) under the Swadeshi Jagran Manch since its inception in 1999.

He has worked across the country to organize Swadeshi Melas, study the growth of Indian industries, and establish distribution centers like Gruhini and Gram Bharat. He has served as the State Vice President, State General Secretary and National Secretary of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha. He was elected as the Chairman of the Visakhapatnam Cost Accountants Chapter in 2013.

He served as the BJP Floor Leader in the Legislative Council as an MLC from 2017-2023. He is the Honorary President of Coromandel Fertilizers Limited. He held various party positions as BJP state general secretary and vice president.
