Hyderabad: Former Chief Minister and BRS chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao criticized Finance Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka for presenting what he termed as an “anti-farmer budget.” Speaking at a media point after the budget speech, KCR accused the Congress government of betraying all sections of society.
“The Congress government has backstabbed all sections of society,” KCR stated. He pointed out that the previous administration had introduced several schemes for the welfare and economic development of various groups.
KCR highlighted the discontinuation of the sheep distribution scheme aimed at the economic upliftment of the Yadav community, and the lack of mention of the Dalitabandhu initiative. “The voice of the downtrodden has been silenced. There is no mention of Dalitabandhu. There is no aid for fishermen,” he noted.
KCR also criticized the reannouncement of interest-free loans for women, calling it an old scheme. “This budget shows no new policy formulation. They had a clear understanding of agriculture, but this government is an enemy of the farmer. There’s no grain procurement, no electricity supply, and no water supply,” he alleged.
He further criticized the absence of Rythu Bandhu and Rythu Bharosa in the budget. “When our MLAs asked about the Rythu Bharosa, there were no answers. This government has betrayed farmers and workers. It didn’t sound like a budget speech; it was more like a political rally. There’s no clarity on industrial or IT policy,” KCR concluded.
