Director Prasanth Varma, who made a national buzz with blockbuster HanuMan, is set to catapult his cinematic universe to new heights with his next superhero venture Mahakali.
The highlight announcement from the movie is the release of first look of Bollywood star Akshaye Khanna as Shukracharya, marking his long-awaited Telugu cinema entry. Famous for his strong and rangey performances, Akshaye most recently impressed fans with his performance as Aurangzeb in Chhaava. His new angry and authoritative style in Mahakali has fast become a buzz, with supporters of the star on all social media platforms hailing it as the ideal fit for the formidable mythological figure.
Mahakali is being directed by Puja Aparna Kolluru, while Prasanth Varma takes charge as the story writer and showrunner. The film is produced by RKD Studios, with music composed by Samaran Sai.
With its unique concept, fresh casting, and the strength of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU), Mahakali is already one of the most awaited Pan-India projects.
