The Chandrababu Naidu government will present the 2025-26 annual budget in the assembly on Friday. There are huge expectations on the budget that the nine-month government is presenting in full this time.
Finance Minister Payyavula is likely to present a budget of about Rs 3.25 lakh crore. After him, the Agriculture Minister Atchannaidu will propose a special agriculture budget. The agriculture budget is expected to be Rs 50,000 crores.
Government sources say that there will be budget allocations to give priority to welfare and development. In this budget, along with centrally sponsored schemes, the allocation of funds to capital Amaravati is becoming crucial. Now, as part of the Super Six schemes, as per the election promise, Rs 15,000 is to be given to every mother per year.
According to the latest figures for the implementation of this scheme, 69.16 lakh people have been identified as eligible. Financial assistance of Rs 15,000 per year is to be given to the accounts of mothers for each child. It is estimated that this will cost about Rs. 10,300 crore.
CM Chandrababu has already decided to implement this scheme in May. Similarly, he has made an announcement on the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme. Under this scheme, Rs 20,000 is to be given to each farmer annually as promised. The number of farmers eligible for the Annadata Sukhibhava scheme in the state has been determined by the authorities to be 53.58 lakh.
It has been calculated that the amount required to pay Rs 20,000 to each farmer is Rs 10,717 crore. By deducting the Rs 6,000 given by the center under PM Kisan, each farmer will be paid Rs 14,000 per year. The amount required for this has been determined to be Rs. 7,502 crore.
The AP government has prepared plans to pay this amount in three installments. Now, taking into account the financial situation of the state, the government will make budget department-wise allocations.
