Farmers’ Association Sends Legal Notice To KCR

Telangana political scenario is becoming more heated, as the ruling Congress and opposition BRS are growing increasingly frayed. Former Chief Minister and BRS supremo K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) is in fresh trouble as legal notices have been served against him as a special Assembly session is scheduled.

Since the Congress took charge, KCR, who holds the position of Leader of the Opposition, has not attended any Assembly sessions. This prolonged absence has now triggered a legal response from the Federation of Farmers Association in Telangana, which issued a formal notice to him on Monday, questioning his continued non-participation in legislative proceedings.

The notice was sent via email and speed post by Advocate Paduri Srinivas Reddy, representing the farmers’ association. In a strong statement, the association’s General Secretary, Vijay Pal, called for KCR’s disqualification, arguing that his failure to fulfill his duties as an elected representative makes him ineligible to continue as an MLA.

The notice further emphasized that KCR must actively address public concerns in the Assembly. If he continues to remain absent, the association demands his immediate removal as the Leader of the Opposition. Additionally, Vijay Pal has urged the Speaker to issue summons to KCR, seeking an official explanation for his repeated absence.

With Telangana’s political landscape already charged, this latest controversy adds another layer of tension between the ruling and opposition camps. As the special Assembly session approaches, all eyes are now on how KCR and the Speaker respond to these legal challenges.
