Vijay Deverakonda is back in action, putting all his focus into his professional career after recent engagement rumors. His highly anticipated film, Rowdy Janardhan, officially kicked off today with an elaborate puja ceremony in Hyderabad, marking the beginning of a fresh chapter in the actor’s journey.
Directed by Ravi Kiran Kola, who previously directed Raja Vaaru Rani Vaaru, Rowdy Janardhan is the first venture together Vijay Deverakonda and Keerthy Suresh, at least fans are excited.
This film represents another collaboration for Vijay and Dil Raju, although this time through Sri Venkateswara Creations. Their previous collaboration, Family Man, didn’t fare too well commercially. Rowdy Janardhan, however, has much higher hopes, and is seeing more interest from fans and critics alike.
Production of Rowdy Janardhan will start on the 16th this month, and the release schedule says summer 2026. The movie will be shot in the stunning landscapes of Rayalaseema, and will be a mixture of action and family drama. Vijay will be in a fresh, rough-new-avtar, and has yet to have his character defined, except to say it will be different than anything he played before.
Having encountered some disappointment with his last couple of films, such as Kingdom, which had a respectable start but failed to do well at the box office, Vijay is set to mount a strong comeback with Rowdy Janardhan. Besides this film, he is also in the process of working on another movie with director Rahul Sankrityayan.
