Versatile actor Fahadh Faasil, known for captivating audiences across languages, has revealed a unique aspiration—becoming a cab driver in Barcelona post-retirement. While promoting his latest comedy-thriller Maareesan, co-starring Vadivelu, Fahadh said in an interview that driving is his passion and he would find joy in helping people reach their destinations. “If the audience feels they’ve had enough of me on screen, I’ll settle in Barcelona and drive a cab. I’m not joking. Driving never bores me,” he said, adding that he had even discussed the plan with his wife Nazriya, who fully supported it.
Directed by Malayalam filmmaker Sudheesh Shankar, Maareesan released in theatres on July 25. The film, a blend of comedy and emotion, has received appreciation from audiences and industry veterans alike. Actor Kamal Haasan recently praised the film, calling it a thoughtful and emotionally rich comedy, and extended his wishes to the entire team.
