YSRCP leader and former MLA from Mangalagiri Alla Ramakrishna Reddy has reportedly confessed that the attack on the TDP central office in Mangalagiri was carried out at the instigation of YSRCP leaders. Recently, CID officials included Alla Ramakrishna Reddy as the 127th accused in the TDP office attack case and issued notices to him to appear for questioning at the CID regional office in Guntur.
With this, Ramakrishna Reddy appeared for questioning on Saturday. The officials interrogated him under the leadership of CID DSP Goli Lakshmaiah. Out of a total of 38 questions, it is known that Alla gave clear answers to most of the questions. It is reported that he politely rejected many questions such as why he left YSRCP in the past? Why did he rejoin the party?
It is known that Alla Ramakrishna Reddy replied that everyone knew that the attack on the TDP office was from the party’s perspective. Moreover, he said that he had completely condemned it. Ramakrishna Reddy is reported to have said that on the day the TDP office was attacked, he was in his farm in Vemavaram under Phirangipuram mandal.
He said that he came to know about the attack on the TDP office only after a journalist called him. “If you question the witnesses, you will know where I was at that time,” he said. However, he said that he had nothing to do with the conspiracy related to this attack. Moreover, Alla revealed that he did not have any orders or prior information from ‘above’ regarding the attack.
When CID officials questioned him that “How can it happen in your constituency without your knowledge?”, he said that while there were some things that happened in the constituency that he knew about, there were also many things that happened without his knowledge. He said that none of his followers were involved in the attack on the TDP office.
“Do you know about the suspension of the police officers who investigated the attack case?” When asked, he said that he had read about it in the newspapers. “No officer was pressured. I did not interfere in the investigation of the case,” he is reported to have said.
