ED Probe into IAS Amoy Kumar corruption exposing Revanth Reddy’s collusion?

The Central investigation agency Enforcement Directorate (ED) has been interrogating IAS officer and former collector of Rangareddy Amoy Kumar for the past three days. It has been creating political uproar in Telangana and allegedly exposing Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s collusion with corrupt officials of the BRS regime.

The corrupt charges against Amoy Kumar were leading to crores of rupees corrupt practices through irregular usage of Dharani portal during the previous regime. The same allegations were levelled by Revanth Reddy himself as TPCC chief against four district collectors in and around Hyderabad. Both the then state BJP chief Bandi Sanjay Kumar and Revanth Reddy alleged that junior officials were appointed as collectors in these districts only to grab lands valued several crores of rupees misusing Dharani portal.

But, after becoming Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is silent on his own allegations without conducting any probe even before ED enters into the scene. Moreover, all such officers were given prime positions in his government. Now with the ED entry in the case of Amoy Kumar, this matter has once again come to the fore.

After the ED entry, new complaints are now being received on a large scale against the former collector of Rangareddy, Amoy Kumar. While the Revanth Reddy government has not taken any action on the irregularities during the BRS regime, now there is a discussion in the ruling circles that giving ED entry in the same matter is a matter of insult to the Congress government.

Now, before the work done by the ED, it would have been honorable if the state government had conducted an inquiry with the institutions under its jurisdiction and cleared the irregularities. There is a rumor going on in the power circles that behind the scenes agreements are also taking place with some people.

Meanwhile, another complaint against Amoy Kumar has surfaced while ED interrogation is going on against him. Victims complained that he had been involved in cheating 840 plot owners, worth about Rs 1,000 crore, by misusing Dharani portal. They directly complained to the ED requesting to probe into their complaint also.

They complained to the ED that despite the names of the plot owners in the revenue records, the lands were illegally included in the Dharani in the names of others and returned to others. They are already fighting in the courts to get justice .

Now the ED is probing into allegations that he handed over several government lands in Vattinagula Palli and Kazhaguda in Maheshwaram mandal of Rangareddy district to private individuals. Allegations are coming that Amoya Kumar has made allotment of lands to benefit four real estate companies. The ED is now probing about the possible involvement of political leaders in the previous government into these illegal land allocations.
