ED Conducts Raids At MVV Satyanarayana’s Residence And Office

The political landscape in Andhra Pradesh is fast changing as the ED conducts extensive raids on the properties of former YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) MP MVV Satyanarayana. As a film producer by profession, the latter at present is accused of grabbing land and it is for this reason that ED conducted raids on his house and office in Madhurawada along with his closely knitted associates’ places.

Reports say that ED is conducting raids at five locations connected to Satyanarayana, including the residences of auditor Venkateswara Rao and Gadde Brahmaji. Charges of fraud, conspiracy, and forgery have been lodged against Satyanarayana, though he has got anticipatory bail from the High Court on some of the charges.

Further enquiries have taken the ED to the residential place of GV who is the auditor of Satyanarayana. Irregularities in the purchase of lands in Madhurawada have brought the agency’s attention to the offices of Hayagreeva Infratech and Constructions. A case has been initiated against Satyanarayana for financial deals of approximately ₹12.5 crore. He has directed several popular Telugu films like Geethanjali, Abhinetri, and Neevevaro. The inquiry of ED is related to transactions that occurred between 2006 and 2008.

The elected MP Satyanarayana suffered defeat in the recent MLA election to Visakh East. Reports suggest that in the emerging scenario, ED authorities have not so far given any official statements regarding the outcome of their current investigations and searches related to these serious allegations. The unfolding events seem to mark a major change in Andhra Pradesh’s politicking as the scrutiny intensifies.
