The ace filmmaker is assembling a dream cast for his next big project, reigniting excitement among fans and industry insiders alike.
Puri has himself signed the multi-talented Vijay Sethupathi, going all the way to Tamil Nadu to clinch the deal. He has also been successful in signing Bollywood’s very choosy actress Tabu, who is renowned for being very selective and particularly so for Telugu movies. While names such as Radhika Apte and Nivetha Thomas are being rumored for important roles, official word is yet to come out.
Weighing in favor of the project, Duniya Vijay, a Sandalwood actor, has joined the project officially. Telugu fans will know him for having essayed a powerful villainous role in Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy.
Interestingly, the director Puri Jagannadh is generating momentum for the film in a clever fashion, not revealing significant details like the genre and plot. The film is rumored to be titled Beggar, although the title is yet to be officially announced.
