Dr Sunitha complains Governor Nazeer on Her Father Vivekananda Reddy’s Murder case probe

Daughter of late YS Vivekananda Reddy, Dr. Sunitha Reddy,  met AP Governor Abdul Nazeer and lodged a complaint with regard to slow progress in her father’s murder case. She said that Vivekananda was murdered in a brutal manner and appealed to him to do her justice in this case. She asked him to expedite the investigation of the case.

She explained to the Governor the developments that have taken place since the day of the murder. She expressed her concern that even though it has been six years since the murder, only one of the accused is in jail, while the rest are roaming freely, and that neither the CBI investigation nor the cases in the court are progressing.

She expressed concern that all the witnesses in her father’s murder case are dying one by one under suspicious circumstances. Sunitha Reddy expressed her grief that six years have passed since the murder, but the case has not been solved. She criticized that even after all this time, even the trial has not started in the CBI court.

She said that the most prominent accused are trying to escape from this case in many ways. She expressed her grief that they, the victims, have been serving their sentences for six years while they are roaming freely. Sunitha appealed to the Governor to take steps to ensure that the CBI resumes the investigation of this case.

YS Sunitha brought to the attention of the Governor the attempts made by the previous YSRCP government to water down this case. She explained to him how the then government obstructed the CBI teams when they came to Kurnool to arrest YS Avinash Reddy.

She submitted to him a comprehensive report on the case and   said that the trial has not even started in the court yet. She appealed to provide protection to witnesses and ensure that an investigation into suspicious deaths is conducted. Similarly, Sunitha requested that justice be done to them.

Sunitha said that she wants the CBI to re-investigate the case. However, she alleged that some forces are working to obstruct the investigation of the case. Sunitha said that the accused are pressuring the witnesses to retract their statements.
