Dr Sunita Objects Jagan’s Comments On Viveka’s Murder

Once again the murder case of former minister YS Vivekananda Reddy is coming to the fore at the time of election in AP. Chief Minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy’s comments in Proddatur public meeting on Wednesday led to a series of accusations asking him why didn’t attempt to book `culprits’ in the case during his five-year term in office.

Jagan’s allegations that Viveka’s killers are roaming around with the support of opposition TDP leadership attracted harsh reaction, as Jagan made these comments while campaigning alongside Avinash Reddy, who is being accused as an accused in Viveka’s murder.

Jagan’s sister and Viveka’s daughter Dr. Sunitha Reddy responding to the chief minister’s comments blaming her, asked him directly “what is your responsibility if your sister is roaming around the courts?”. Recalling that it has been five years since the death of her father, she asked him what has been done by his government during his period to pick up culprits?

She advised her brother that it is not proper on his part to make wild allegations as if he is in the opposition. Referring to Jagan’s comment that “God knows who killed Viveka and protecting those who killed Viveka”, Dr Sunitha reminded that the person who killed her father  openly admitting who killed and who are behind him (Avinash and Bhaskar Reddy).

She lamented that it is Jagan’s government providing security to the accused in this case. She asked the chief minister why he, as chief minister, tried to prevent a CBI probe, while demanding the same when he was in the opposition?

She wondered how CM Jagan is asking people to vote by keeping the accused in her father’s murder case besides him. She recalled that the CBI is saying that he is the accused.

She deplored that during five years in power, Jagan didn’t remember his Chinnamma (wife of Vivekananda Reddy), but now during the election period he is remembering her. She rubbished it all only to gain sympathy.

Narrating the difference between sisters and brother Jagan, Dr Sunita said that he is fighting for positions, but they are fighting for justice. She urged people not to vote for the murderers of her father.

On the other hand, some BJP senior leaders skipped the office-bearers meeting and core committee meeting held in Vijayawada on Tuesday. BJP former state president Somu Veerraju, Rajya Sabha member G V L Narasimha Rao and state general secretary S Vishnuvardhan Reddy did not attend the meeting. Somu Veerraju was hopeful of contesting from Rajamahendravaram Lok Sabha seat, GVL Narasimha Rao from Vizag and Vishnuvardhan Reddy from Hindupur Lok Sabha constituency.

State president Daggubati Purandeswari, party national general secretary Siddharthanath Singh and other leaders attended the meeting. Siddharthanath Singh told the BJP leaders to work in coordination with the alliance parties in the poll campaign and poll strategies.
