Ram Pothineni and Puri Jagannadh reunited for the highly anticipated sequel, ‘Double iSmart’. Scheduled for a pan-Indian release, the film will be released worldwide on August 15.
Ahead of its release, the makers unveiled the first single ‘Steppamaar’ lyrical video today. Unveiling the song on Youtube, the makers shared a vibrant new poster featuring Ram Pothinei on their social media handles and wrote, “Gully Gully lo Shankar gadi Mass Lolli Shuru. ‘MASS SONG OF THE YEAR’ #STEPPAMAAR from #DoubleISMART Out Now.”
Touted to be a mass song of the year, the lyrical video, which runs for 4 minutes and 16 seconds, is filled with the massy and electrifying beats of Mani Sharma’s musical tunes and Ram Pothineni’s mass steps under the dance choreography by Jaani Master.
The first single, ‘Steppamaar’, was penned by renowned lyricist Bhaskarabhatla Ravi Kumar with vocals by Anurag Klukarni and Sahithi for the Telugu version.
Helmed by dashing director Puri Jagannadh, the film promises to deliver twice the action and intensity. The film is backed by Puri Jagannadh and Charrmmee Kaur under the banner of Puri Connects. Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt plays the main antagonist, opposite Ram Pothineni. Actress Kavya Thapar is the female lead in this action entertainer.
Slated for release on Independence Day, the film will compete with Nivetha Thomas ’35-Chinna Katha Kaadu’, Narne Nithiin’s ‘Aay’, and the Hindi film ‘Stree 2’ starring Shraddha Kapoor.
