Ace producer Dil Raju has responded to the controversy surrounding comments made by producer Shirish about the film *Game Changer*, clarifying that the remarks were misunderstood. Addressing the issue during promotions for the film *Thammudu*, Raju stated that Shirish’s intention was not to criticise actor Ram Charan or director Shankar, and added that the comments were blown out of proportion on social media.
In a recent interview, Shirish had mentioned that neither Ram Charan nor director Shankar contacted them after the release of *Game Changer*. The remarks triggered strong reactions from Ram Charan’s fans, who deemed them inappropriate. Dil Raju clarified that Shirish was not deeply involved in the film’s production and was speaking from a distributor’s perspective. He added that Shirish lacks experience in giving interviews and that the full context of the conversation was not reflected in the viral clip.
Dil Raju praised Ram Charan’s unwavering commitment to the project despite delays in the production. “After *RRR*, Charan gave us dates and remained loyal to the film even when I advised him to consider other projects during the delays. That shows his dedication,” he said. He also pointed out that the delay in schedules was due to the high stature of director Shankar and the difficulty in making quick decisions.
Concluding his remarks, Dil Raju made a key announcement: “It is my wish to deliver a big success to Ram Charan under our banner. We will definitely work on another film together. We have shortlisted a few scripts for 2026 and will proceed based on what suits Charan best.”
