Tamil Star actor Dhanush and acclaimed director Mari Selvaraj reunited once again for another thrilling project, tentatively titled ‘D56.’ This project marks their second collaboration after the critically acclaimed Karnan.
Marking the fourth anniversary of Karnan, Selvaraj took to his social media platform X to announce this exciting news. Expressing his gratitude for the support of the film and his excitement about reuniting with Dhanush, he wrote, “Overwhelmed to celebrate the 4th year of a journey forged by Karnan’s Sword! Thanks to everyone who celebrated and supported Karnan throughout the years!! Also, I am exhilarated to say that my next project is once again with my dearest Dhanush sir! This has been soaking in my mind for quite sometime now and I am very excited to be joining hands with him once again! This is my first with Ishari K. Ganesh sir and I can’t be any happier! This is going to be a thrilling experience indeed! Here Roots Begin a Great War.”
They have shared this announcement with an intense theme poster featuring a skull-topped sword. A photo of Dhanush with the director and producer accompanied the announcement. More details about the cast and production are expected to be revealed soon. Tentatively titled D56, this project will be produced by Ishari Ganesh under the Vels Films International banner, promising a gripping cinematic experience.
Meanwhile, Dhanush will be seen in Kubera alongside Nagarjuna Akkineni and Rashmika Mandanna, directed by Shekhar Kammula. He is also set to appear in his directorial project ‘Idly Kadai,’ which will be released in theaters on October 1. Additionally, he is also working on the Bollywood project ‘Tere Ishq Mein.’
