Bollywood actor and Devara fame antagonist Saif Ali Khan was attacked multiple times by a robber at his Bandra residence in Mumbai in the early hours of Thursday. The actor was immediately rushed to Lilavati hospital for treatment. He has reportedly suffered injuries in different places of his body and is getting treated for them.
As per the latest information from the police, an unidentified person barged into Saif Ali Khan’s residence at around 02:00 AM and attacked him with a sharp knife after getting face-to-face with him. He is said to be undergoing surgery for the cuts which dig deeper at several places in his body. The doctors confirmed that he is out of danger and nothing serious with the injury.
The police have immediately launched an investigation into the incident. They confirmed that the robber fled from the scene after occupants of the house woke up following the scuffle with Saif. The Bandra police are in the process of registering an FIR and several police teams have been formed to nab the culprit.
Dr Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, said, “Saif was brought in at 3:30 am in Lilavati. He has six injuries, two of which are deeper. One of the injuries is closer to his spine. We are operating on him. He is being operated upon by Neurosurgeon Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Leena Jain, and anaesthetist Nisha Gandhi. We will be tell the extent of the damage only after the surgery is done.
Saif Ali Khan acted in several Bollywood films in his two decade career. He appeared as the main villain in NTR’s Devara and impressed with his menacing act.
