Demand To Make Nara Lokesh As working president Gaining Momentum At Kadapa Mahanadu

The demand to hand over the responsibilities of the party’s working president to Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh is gaining momentum among TDP circles and surfaced loudly at ongoing Mahanadu in Kadapa.  TDP’s senior party leader and MLA Dhulipala Narendra has formally proposed asking the party chief Chandrababu Naidu to make Lokesh as working president of the party.

Narendra told CM Chandrababu Naidu on this occasion that they had resolved in the mini Mahanadu to give the post of working president to Nara Lokesh. He appealed to CM Chandrababu to give the post of working president to Nara Lokesh as they all wanted it. There is already a consensus in the Telugu Desam Party that Minister Nara Lokesh should be given the post of working president.

As part of that, senior party leaders Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy and many other leaders made the same point clear at the Mahanadu venue on Wednesday.  CM Chandrababu Naidu will be unanimously elected as the party’s national president once again. In that order, there is a demand to select Nara Lokesh as the party’s working president.

The party cadre also makes it clear that Nara Lokesh has already succeeded not only in the public sphere but also as a minister. Though in the TDP’s bylaws there is no position of `working president’ in the party, but now the stage is set ready to create the post for the sake of Lokesh, giving an indication he will be ultimate successor for the party leadership, after Chandrababu.

“On this occasion, I request that Minister Lokesh should be in the party in the process of implementing the six principles of the party.  We have brought this to the attention of Chandrababu that a resolution was passed in this regard in the mini Mahanadu held at the Guntur district level. Minister Nara Lokesh should be given the post of working president”, asserted Dhulipalla Narendra.

Nara Lokesh won from the Mangalagiri assembly seat in the 2024 assembly elections. Later, he took charge as the Minister of Education and IT, which are the most important departments in the Chandrababu Naidu cabinet. In addition, on January 27, 2023, Lokesh took part in a padayatra called Yuvagalam from Kuppam in Chittoor district. Through this yatra, he personally examined the difficulties faced by the people. It is known that Lokesh received praise from the people as a mature leader in the public sphere.
