Danam Nagender supports IAS officer Smita Sabharwal on Her Tweets Against HCU Lands Row

At a time senior IAS officer and Tourism Secretary Smita Sabharwal continued to tweet to embarrass the Revanth Reddy government on the land row of Kancha Gachibowli and many Congress leaders are angry with her, surprisingly Khairatabad MLA Danam Nagender has come out in support of her.

Speaking at a meeting, he made it clear that there is nothing wrong with Smita Sabharwal’s retweet. He said that she retweeted the actual situation there. He also explained that her actions were not directed at the government.

Danam Nagender said that it was painful that the Supreme Court had become serious about Chief Secretary Shanthi Kumari in the Kancha Gachibowli issue. He expressed his regret that she had a good reputation as a good officer and had gained a bad reputation due to court slander.

Moreover, he urged the state government to reconsider the issue of the Kancha Gachibowli lands issue. On this occasion, he also made interesting comments on BRS chief KCR. He said that people are eager to see KCR. He believed that a large number of people will come to the BRS meeting to be held in Warangal on the 27th of this month.

It may be recalled that Smita Sabharwal landed in a controversy after her repost of a photo of Ghibli posted by the ex-handle ‘Hi Hyderabad’ on March 31 regarding the Kancha Gachibowli lands. It was said that Save Hyderabad, Save HCU Biodiversity. In that post, a large number of bulldozers were deployed in front of the Mushroom Rock, and there were peacocks and deer in front of the bulldozers.

The police, who investigated this, charged that it was a fake photo. To this extent, the Gachibowli police served notices to Smita Sabharwal under Section 179 of the IPC. In this context, Smita Sabharwal also attended the hearing. She revealed the matter again through her Twitter (X) handle.

After giving her statement, Smita Sabharwal posted it on X. She said that she had fully cooperated with the police within the scope of the law. She said that she had explained the questions asked by the police as a person who abides by the law.

On this occasion, she revealed that she had asked the police some questions on this occasion. “The post was reshared by 2,000 people. Are similar actions being taken against all of them? I have sought clarification. If not, it will be assumed that only a select few have been targeted. If that happens, it will be a compromise on the principle of natural justice that everyone is equal before the law”, she added. She gave the hashtags #RuleofLaw #Freedo mOfSpeech #justsaying in her tweet.
