Former Minister and MLA Danam Nagender, who had defected to Congress party after electing as BRS MLA in 2023, says that the Formula-E race has increased the brand image of Hyderabad and it has attracted international attention due to the efforts made by KTR.
At a time Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is making moves to arrest KTR in this case, Nagender made it clear that whether there is corruption or not is a later issue, and that the Formula-E race has been good for Hyderabad. He said that if there is any corruption in this, he advised the Chief Minister that he should immediately expose KTR’s corruption, so that this conflict and confusion among the people will disappear.
Moreover, he hails BRS chief and former Chief Minister KC Chandrasekhar as a great leader. “If we look at the rule of YSR, KCR and Revanth Reddy, YSR will remain forever in the hearts of the people of united Andhra Pradesh. KCR is a great leader. Personally, he is a very good person. He may speak in anger and rage.. but his heart is sensitive. In a way, KCR is a Bhola Shankar”. he said.
He made sensational comments that the people of Hyderabad are being thrown on the road in the name of Hydra and that the people of Hyderabad do not have faith in the Congress government.
Stating that the Formula-E race coming to Hyderabad is a good development, he recalled that at that time, CM Chandrababu Naidu also acquired land in Gachibowli to bring Formula-1 to the state. For this, an international team also came here and inspected it.
“We thought it would come then. But, it was stopped due to some reasons. Now the arrival of Formula-E has become good for Hyderabad. It has helped in increasing the image of Hyderabad and attracting international attention”, he added.
Nagender also recalled that many companies competed, and at one stage, when the Formula-E race was thinking of going to Dubai, KTR talked to them and brought it here. He made it clear KTR’s efforts in bringing the Formula-E race to Hyderabad cannot be denied.
After he was denied Lok Sabha seat last year due to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Nagender has been distancing himself from active participation in the Congress.
