CV Anand Appointed As Hyderabad Police Commissioner

In a significant administrative change, CV Anand has been appointed as the new Police Commissioner of Hyderabad. Anand, a 1991 batch Indian Police Service (IPS) officer, is currently serving as the Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in Telangana. This appointment marks a return to a position Anand has previously held.

The Telangana government has also announced several other transfers within the police department. Kothakota Srinivas Reddy, from the 1994 batch, has been assigned as the Director General of Vigilance and Enforcement. Vijay Kumar, a 1997 batch officer, will now serve as the Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau. Additionally, Mahesh Bhagwat has been designated as the Additional Director General for the Police Personnel Welfare Department, and Ramesh will take on the role of Additional Inspector General for Police Sports. Both Bhagwat and Ramesh will continue in their new roles until further orders are issued.
