CPM slams During coalition Regime people Have No Income, Except Debts

Expressing discontent over the one year regime of TDP, Jana Sena and BJP alliance, CPM State Secretary V. Srinivasa Rao alleged that the people have no income except debts. He launched a book titled “Blessings for Corporates, Curses for the Poor, One Year of TDP Alliance Rule”.

He said that the alliance secured 164 seats with 56 percent votes as the people were fed up with the idea that the previous YSRCP government was acting undemocratically. But, he deplored that the TDP alliance government has not maintained that trust. He said that the people have become discouraged, worried and dissatisfied with this government.

Out of 178 promises made before the elections, the CPM leader said that only 16 promises have been implemented in the past year. He said that if grade points had to be given, the alliance government had achieved only 1.5 out of 10. He expressed regret that the current direction is going in the wrong direction even though Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has the power to give good governance.

He said that the Mega DSC notification was issued immediately after coming to power that it took a year to conduct the exams, but there is no delay in serving the corporates. He criticized that valuable lands in tribal areas are being handed over to Adani without holding gram sabhas, which is illegal.

Srinivasa Rao said that it is not unreasonable to give 136 acres in Visakhapatnam to a data center, and that there is a campaign that they are ready to give 7000 acres more in Amaravati. He expressed anger that Adani is serving in return for obstructing reliable companies like TCS. He demanded that if there is no activity within five years in the lands given to the corporates, they should take it back.

The CPM leader warned that the trust of the farmers who gave the lands to the pooling is waning due to the lack of development of the lands in the capital area. He expressed anger that the attention given to corporates in land acquisition is not in speed and providing houses to the poor.

He alleged that the government education sector was destroyed on the instructions of the BJP government at the center. He expressed surprise that the TDP leaders, who filed cases in the court against power purchase contracts while the TDP leaders were in the opposition, are not raising their voices now. He said that cases have been registered for giving bribes of Rs. 1780 crores and this government is conducting transactions with Adani.

The CPM leader wondered if they did not know what was the difference between the previous government and this government with actions like the murder of Tanmayi in Anantapur and the brutal beating of youths on the road in Tenali. He alleged that in the past, any government at the center used to be played by Chandrababu, but now he is being played to the tunes of Modi.
