Key Changes have been made in the Special Security Group giving protection for AP Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, in the wake of the threat from Maoists. Counter action teams have been added to the CM’s security circle. A counter action team has been formed with six commandos in addition to the NSG, SSG and local armed forces.
The counter action team is being trained under the auspices of the SPG. Chandrababu is one of the few people in the country who has black cat commandos and NSG security. After the Naxals attacked him at Alipiri in Tirupati, he was given NSG black cat commandos. Along with these black cat commandos, Chandrababu’s security circle is always tight.
When Chandrababu was in the opposition, the number of NSG commandos was also increased during the several attacks from 2019 to 2024. Earlier, there were six commandos, but when Chandrababu went out, the number was increased to 12. They used to guard Chandrababu like a blind eye.
However, now, in the wake of the increased influence of Naxals, the Counter Action Team has been deployed. A total of three circles have been formed in his security circle to provide protection to Chandrababu.
The first three-digit security circle will have the NSG (National Security Group), and the second circle will have the SSG (Special Security Group). When Chandrababu goes on tour to various places, there will be six Counter Action Commandos at a distance from all of them.
The Counter Action Team has been trained to deal with those who come to attack Chandrababu and those who come to endanger Babu. In case of any attack, the first two teams will move Chandrababu to a safe area. The third team, the Counter Action Team, will not leave the attackers alone until they are defeated.
The Counter Action Team has been trained to that extent. These commandos from the Special Security Group have been trained abroad and at various top training centers in the country. They have recently been inducted into the team providing security to CM Chandrababu Naidu.
Although these commandos have been providing security to Chandrababu since last week, the Counter Action Team has been officially included in the Chief Minister’s security circle since yesterday.
