The Malayalam cinema industry has been creating waves in every part of India, with its artists becoming household names and celebrities. Among those artists is Tovino Thomas, who has received large-scale fame and popularity in Telugu cinema, especially from OTT platforms. Films like 2018 and ARM were well-received by the audience in cinemas, mostly due to the large fan following that Tovino developed through digital platforms.
Now, Tovino is making his entry into Telugu cinema, and more exciting is that he would have the privilege of working along with none other than Junior NTR in a film to be released soon. First, rumors were rife regarding Tovino’s association with Dragon (working title) directed by Prashanth Neel, and now that rumor has been officially announced. The news was recently revealed by actor Prithviraj Sukumaran in an interview.
Besides Tovino, another renowned Malayalam actor, Biju Menon, is also set to play key roles in Dragon. Prithviraj spoke of his enthusiasm over the project, holding the belief that Prashanth Neel would present both actors with roles that fully bring out their exceptional abilities so their characters become assets of the movie.
Biju Menon, who made a cameo appearance in the Telugu film Ranam earlier, wasn’t as well-known then, but now is one of the most highly regarded actors working today. Where Tovino is concerned, his acting skills are renowned, and there is no doubt whatsoever that his performance will be one of the biggest positives of Dragon.
