Superstar Rajinikanth’s ‘Jailer’ garnered massive success at the box office, emerging as the top grossing film of 2023. Helmed by Nelson Dilipkumar and featuring Rajinikanth, the film’s team announced an eagerly awaited sequel a few months ago.
Recently, renowned comedian Yogi Babu shared an exciting update about ‘Jailer 2’. In a recent interview, Yogi Babu confirmed he would be reprising his role in the sequel. Currently working on the pre-production stage, Nelson is crafting a new comedy track especially for Yogi Babu, anticipating fans. He ensured that fans could look forward to more laughs in the sequel.
The film is set to begin production this year, and an official announcement is expected soon.
On the work front, Superstar Rajinikanth is currently gearing up for his upcoming projects. He will appear in ‘Vettaiyan’, which has completed its shooting and is set for a worldwide theatrical release this October. Helmed by TJ Gnanavel, the film features legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan in a significant role and is slated for a pan-Indian release on October 10, 2024.
In addition to ‘Vettaiyan’, Rajinikanth has recently commenced shooting for ‘Coolie’, under the direction of Lokesh Kanagaraj, with Shruthi Haasan as the female lead in this flick. Anirudh Ravichandran is the music composer for both films. Stay tuned for further exciting updates!
